Thunderstorms in central Europe, fine Mediterranean
Showers, possibly thundery, will develop across the north of Spain on Wednesday but much of the Iberian Peninsula will be dry, sunny and hot. Most of the Mediterranean, from the Balearics across to Italy will stay dry, sunny and very warm, although showers may affect Reggio Calabria for a time. More sunshine and dry, warm weather in Greece but with a little more in the way of cloud. Dry in the south of Turkey but with heavy showers and some thunderstorms in the north.
Dry weather over France, with warm sunshine, will extend into Switzerland, Austria and the Low Countries, albeit with the slight risk of a shower in the latter. Germany is going to be fine with sunny spells but rain, possibly heavy and thundery will affect Poland southwards.
A front brings some cloud and a few spots of showery rain to Denmark. Rain, associated with a front, may clip Eastern Denmark, with further cloud and rain affecting parts ofNorway. Sweden should be fair with plenty of sunshine. Finland and most of the Baltic States will be fair too with more sunshine here.
Still a risk of some showers on Thursday in the north of Spain and parts of Portugal but much of Iberia and the Balearics will stay dry, sunny and very warm, with the fine, warm and sunny weather also embracing Corsica and Sardinia. More sunshine in Italy and fair generally too in Greece, although some showers may develop in the north. Turkey may also see further showers, especially in northern parts.
Heavy thunderstorms in Western France but dry and sunny further east. More sunshine to come in the Low Countries and Germany but with heavy, thundery showers for Poland, Hungary, Austria and Switzerland with some torrential downpours here.
Denmark will be fine and dry with lots of sunshine. More sunshine to come across the Baltic States and through Finland too. Variable cloud cover across Norway and Sweden, bringing some showers.
